"I'm an addict, and I've been struggling with addiction for 17 years. My mom passed away when I was 11, and I spent six years in intensive therapy dealing with that loss. When I was 19, my dad died from liver cancer, and that was when my life took a darker turn. I started dating someone who was using heroin, and in my vulnerable state, I followed her into addiction-heroin and meth quickly took over my life. I lost everything, became homeless, and ended up in jail in 2018. Through Drug Court, I stayed sober for 18 months and completed the program. But relapse soon found me.

Since 2018, I've been in and out of recovery, battling this disease. But on July 15, 2024, after a bad relapse, 1 returned to recovery, and today, I'm 97 days sober. This time, I'm thriving. I have a sponsor, I'm working the steps, and I've got the best job ever. For the first time, I'm building things with my hands, and Gangland Express has become like family to me. I love going to work and being surrounded by my recovery family who supports me in so many ways."
